You Nodded Like You Wrote It. You Did Not Write It.

The face you make when your boss reads the AI-generated report out loud in the meeting and you nod slowly like you crafted every single word.

Split-screen: top panel shows a confident man presenting a polished slide deck in a meeting; bottom panel shows the same man at night copy-pasting from an AI chat window.
The nod does a lot of work.

You didn't write it. You clicked 'generate', skimmed it, and pasted it into a Google Doc at 11pm. Now everyone is impressed and you have to look like you understand what it actually says. The nodding is load-bearing.

The gap between what we produce and what we take credit for is widening. Most people are performing understanding in meetings rather than having it. AI has industrialized the fake-it dynamic.
